Do the Pelton Arms Quiz, Greenwich

Your author has for some time been a fan of the Pelton Arms in Greenwich, a friendly local on Pelton Road on the streets between the Old Royal Naval College and East & North Greenwich, and last week's quiz was enough to endear him to it even more. If nothing else, the poster offering 'An Evening With Boycie' on the front door marks this pub out as having a good sense of itself.


Though the quiz doesn't start until 9pm, the accomplished quiz master rattles quickly through questions, making for results in plenty of time to be out by 11pm. The questions are intelligent and interesting, and unlike many pub quizzes don't seem to have been lifted from the internet. For a flavour of the style of questioning listen to this clip by Daryl.
