The best news of all is that it is free entry, so you won't have to stump up the usual £15 which - whilst being worth it to maintain the fabric of this beautiful building which has such a fascinating history - always seems like an awful lot of money.

Thanks for the tip! It seems a real option to go into town as opposed to out of an evening, seeing as the Olympics is making everything crazy and people aren't hanging about..I'll have to see if I can do this sometime soon. Haven't between to St.Paul's for ages. Once wanted to go on a whim a couple of years ago having found myself in the vicinity, then realised it would be very costly and one could not pop in. I guess they have to recoupthe refurbishment cost somehow.
