The exhibition contrasts various aspects of Sorrell's work, from murals commissioned for the 1951 Festival of Britain to reconstructions of ancient archaeological sites including the City of London, Old Sarum and Silchester. If you don't have time to see it at the Soane, the exhibition is scheduled to be travelling later in the year to the Beecroft Art Gallery in Westcliff on Sea, close to Sorrell's childhood home in Southend, when it reopens.
