Take a tour of Lincoln's Inn

Thanks to IanVisits, who reminds us all that a twice-a-month guided tour of Lincoln's Inn takes place today, as every first and third Friday of the month at 2 pm, beginning in the Chapel Undercroft.

One of the four Inns of Court, Lincoln's Inn traces its history back to at least 1422.

  1. I like the original medieval system of legal education that was provided by all the Inns. Not only would the seven years between admission as a student and call to the bar make for well trained graduates. But that type of education would also influence the architecture of the Inns. We would expect good libraries, tutorial rooms, perhaps sleeping quarters for the students, perhaps an eating area.
