It's carnival time over in the Olympic Park this afternoon and evening, as some of London's best carnival acts take to the avenues and streets for a huge carnival, supported by a number of other local, national and international acts, and paid for by that catch-all abstract concept, the
'Olympic Legacy', which causes this park to be funded so much more than any other.
The finale begins at 8.30pm, and we are told that it will offer the world premiere of The Carnival of the Animals, a "twilight crescendo" in which there will be costumed performers, 300 dancers, big animals and possibly some fireworks.
